Lake Seminole Park

 

Lake Seminole Park is a recreational area located in Seminole, Florida. The park allows camping, fishing, and picnicking for the public on a daily basis from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm. It was developed from a landfill in 1969 to provide land for passive recreational uses.

The park has over 2 miles of waterfront along Lake Seminole and is used by many people for fishing and boating recreational. There are also facilities for picnicking and camping.

Lake Seminole is mostly spring-fed with an average depth of 6 feet. One can fish the lake year-round because it maintains a constant temperature between 58 degrees F and 68 degrees F. Largemouth bass, bluegills, tilapia, shell crackers, brim trout, black crappie, white perch, catfish, and carp can be found in the lake.

Lake Seminole Park is open from 8 am to 6 pm daily. There is an admission fee of $6 per vehicle on weekdays and either $9 or $10 per person on Saturdays, Sundays, Holidays, and special event days (concerts, boat races). Annual passes are available for purchase at a rate of $35.

Overnight camping is available with reservations from the 1st to 15th of every month as well as most holidays at between $20 and $35, depending on the time of year.
