Freedom Lake Park
Freedom Lake Park is a very nice local park in Pinellas Park with a memorial to Korean War Veterans. The name is for commemorating the men and women from the US Armed Forces by having a fascinating monument right next to the highway. It is an F-16 Fighter Falcon that looks absolutely proper in that memorial place. There’s also a memorial there to the Veterans of the Korean War. Both memorials are unforgettable. It has a number of pavilions, a playground, and bathrooms. Nice walking trail around the lake and a fitness area. You can play with remote-controlled sailboats, because it isn’t unusual to see folks using them on the lake. This park also had a very nice and busy dog park.
The trail at Freedom Lake Path is a 1.8-kilometer lightly trafficked loop trail. It features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, and fishing and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on a leash.
Freedom Lake Park’s grounds are clean, there’s plenty of parking space, and a lot of useful facilities there for people to have a good time – picnic grounds and tables, playgrounds for kids, exercise facilities, etc. There are info boards about the park rules and regulations. You can also take photographs of colorful birds, wildlife, and beautiful scenic views.
This is a great local, family-friendly park. You can take an easy stroll, bring your fur baby to the dog park, children to the playground, picnic, and look for the birds that call this park home.
